Remodel your kitchen with solid walnut cabinets

Walnut cabinets is a popular kitchen style.
Walnut in the kitchen can be used in 6 places:
doors and panels for frameless kitchen cabinets
frames for face frame cabinetry
walnut cubbies
Solid walnut drawers
trim and paneling
butchers block countertops

Walnut kitchen could be made with modern slab (flat) doors or transitional shaker 5-peice doors (or its variations). The difference is that for flat doors - we would use walnut veneer, and for shaker walnut doors - solid walnut.

Walnut looks beautiful in a face frame kitchen - especially traditional English cabinetry - inset face frames. The doors are installed flush with the frames which makes it a very unique looking kitchen.

Veneer walnut doors are made by gluing walnut veneer onto MDF or particle core boards, and than cutting it into parts. Laying out veneers is not an easy process and requires some sense of style - to get perfectly book-matched boards.
When the parts are cut - we edgeband it with solid wood strips using our new Hozlher Edgebander - to insure a perfect seamless joints.
Walnut Dovetail drawers
Another feature of a high-end kitchen is solid wood drawers. These drawers are custom made to perfectly fit your cabinetry and made of solid wood with Dovetail joints and clear polyurethane finish.

Walnut is a great material for face frames:
It is very strong and will last for a long time.
Mortise and tenon joint means quality

We make our frames with superior quality mortise and tenon joint with is much stronger than other joint methods - no pocket holes or other cheap alternatives. Mortise and tenon joint minimize telegraphing and cracks on the surface of face frames.

For finishing walnut cabinets with use 2K Polyurethane sealer and natural Italian lacquers
For stained, natural finish cabinets we use a far superior finish called 2K Polyurethane, a finish that was mostly used in aerospace, marine, and private jets millwork - that require heat and chemical protection not normally considered 'necessary' in the home industry. 2K Polyurethane has superior stain, heat, moisture and solvent resistance, according to the Architectural Woodwork Institute, and my personal experience. This has a big impact, particularly in the kitchen. Excessive steam from a dishwasher or the inevitable waterworks from a sink don't affect the finish. It's also 100% formaldehyde free, and comes in a variety of different sheens. This is a HUGE difference - compared to conversion varnish (CV) that most of shops/factories use. CV yellows over time and smells bad.

Walnut is a perfect wood for different kinds of moldings and trim - its looks fresh and modern. With a combination of solid wood and veneer we can make any design idea come true.
Walnut can also be used for countertops. Butchers block countertops can add some warmth in your kitchen. It is also feel nice - because its solid wood.
